At AKC Fitness LI, kettlebells are always center stage, but our coaching staff takes full advantage of many other effective tools of the trade in their battle of the bulge. We've coined the term KB-X™ to describe this cutting-edge style of fitness training, and we employ 4 simple tactics to get the job done.
TACTIC #1: FOCUS ON MOVEMENT AND FUNCTION
Kettlebell lifting inspires a more efficient, healthier movement pattern (using legs and core more efficiently), as well as improving posture (proper skeletal stack relaxes low back, and shoulders roll back). Slowly but surely your body will restructure itself around these new patterns of movement. You'll walk, lift, stretch, and bend with no strain and less effort. Your body will also be capable of much more work, more exercise, more play, more calorie burning, or more of anything else you'd like to use it for. In addition, our special postural corrective drills when coupled with kettlebell lifting, not only reduce tension, pain, but foster efficient movements. Correct posture will also flatten your belly without losing a pound.
TACTIC #2: ADD A CARDIO KICK FOR EXTREME FAT BURNING
Brief kettlebell sets followed by short bursts of cardio eliminate the need for long boring workouts. Our coaches structure a new progression for every member, every workout - that if appropriate, can include rounds rowing, running, cycling, stepping, climbing or elliptical work, synergistically multiplying the effects of all exercise performed, burning hundreds of calories in a very short time. Our Weight Loss Countdown program is a 30-minute weight loss workout like no other!
TACTIC #3: INCLUDE RESISTANCE WORK FOR BODY SHAPING
Our coaches use a variety of highly effective tools, including Gravity, Bodyweight and Suspension training to sculpt and shape your body, specifically addressing areas where you feel you need some extra help. Come experience our Ab Pulls, Assisted Pullups, Rollups, Single Leg Squats, which are all made possible on our Gravity Training System, a potential part of every member's programming.
TACTIC #4: DESIGN HIGHLY PERSONALIZED WORKOUTS
Our plan is simple. You tell us what you want from a workout routine / progression, and our coaching staff develops a program that will deliver exactly that, making use of all of the above tools. Coaches develop a long term, as well as short term plan that's tweaked on a daily basis.
